What's New with the JDE Community in 2020?

Founded in Boulder, CO, in 1947 and named for the unique rock formations there, Flatiron now operates across the U.S. and Canada and is a subsidiary of German-based HOCHTIEF, one of the world’s largest international construction service providers. Flatiron recently migrated to the most recent version of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, made business processes more efficient by reducing a significant amount of custom modifications and assisted with in-depth training for users.

Benefits of this JDE World to E1 migration included:

• A modern, updated and fully supported ERP interface and platform
• More than 4,000 hours of training through combined team efforts
• More than 327 million rows of converted data
• Self-service capabilities for employees to maintain their information

The Indianapolis Zoo works with partners around the globe to save wild things and wild places. By partnering with organizations and researchers from around the world, the Indianapolis Zoo increases public awareness, support and engagement, to make a true impact in the wild.

The Indianapolis Zoo was on a dated version of Oracle JD Edwards and needed to upgrade. The Zoo also needed to upgrade the servers, operating systems, and databases running the JD Edwards system.

The Zoo chose NetSuite for its modern finance capabilities. By partnering with Terillium on the project, the Indianapolis Zoo was able to leverage our team’s expertise in JD Edwards as well as NetSuite. The finance team had concerns over the switch. The team was familiar with JD Edwards, but were pleased with NetSuite and found similarities between the two Oracle systems that made the transition easier.

As an international brand for adventurers, Johnson Outdoors strives for excellence on all company initiatives from back-end processes to customer experience. In keeping with this spirit, Johnson Outdoors recently decided to upgrade the business’ global ERP system – Oracle JD Edwards from JD Edwards Enterprise Xe to the latest version of EnterpriseOne (9.2). The leadership team at Johnson Outdoors chose Terillium as their partner based on the team’s experience upgrading businesses to 9.2, as well as Terillium’s partnership with Redfaire International – an international consortium of the world’s leading Oracle JDE partners.

While Johnson Outdoors is headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin, the JD Edwards upgrade project also included 15 additional sites around the world. The main project objectives were to:

• Upgrade to a modern web-based ERP solution, enhancing the end user experience through the latest technologies available in JDE
• Move to a platform with an ongoing support plan and timeline for new product releases
• Review and reduce the number of ERP customizations where applicable, with more than 3,500 modifications reviewed
