Lewis Tree Service is one of the largest providers of utility vegetation management services in North America, and is a leader in safety, responsiveness and innovation. When the leadership team at Lewis Tree Service decided to replace the company’s unsupported legacy system, the vegetation management services business selected Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
A customer-centric organization, Lewis Tree has many customized processes for managing the complexity of specific customer engagements. JD Edwards E1 provides the flexibility to manage these customer nuances more effectively with less manual intervention. The Lewis Tree executive team chose Terillium as their Enterprise Resource Planning partner based on the Terillium team’s product knowledge and ERP implementation methodology.
The Challenge
A key success factor for the Lewis Tree implementation was having the right team in place who could mitigate risk by managing project scope, and adapt when necessary. A few months into the implementation, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 was released. The team was able to pivot quickly and upgrade to the latest release of JD Edwards.

The project was delivered on-time and within budget. Lewis Tree has already gained new business benefits from JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, including a centralized general ledger with integrated job costing and a streamlined billing process.
Lewis Tree has a strategic roadmap to further optimize and enhance their JD Edwards E1 system for the company’s business needs. The roadmap includes use of mobile applications to provide field employees access to the JD Edwards software.
