The Client
Deutsch Family Wine and Spirits was founded in 1981 to market quality wine and spirits from major wine and spirits regions of the world. The business began with two employees importing a few family producers from France and has grown to include a prestigious roster of internationally renowned, award-winning brands, which includes the No. 1 imported brand and the No. 1 US, Australian and French brands sold in the US.
Deutsch Family Wine and Spirits needed to replace a highly customized Microsoft ERP system and chose to implement Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2. Deutsch switched to JDE to provide its business with:
- Simplified best practices
- Seamless, efficient operations
- Accurate, timely information and reporting
- Visibility into inventory
- Smooth and consistent communication with suppliers and customers
The Challenge
Terillium delivered a fully integrated ERP environment at Deutsch. The team used best practices to implement a system that will:
- Improve staff productivity with efficient workflows
- Digitize operations by eliminating a paper and pencil process
- Reduce number of systems needed for information
- Minimize number of necessary spreadsheets
- Manage “control state” data to increase sales
The Solution
By Deutsch’s go live on Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Terillium also delivered:
- An early go live of the finance modules
- Integration with 12 EDI trading partners and seven transaction sets
- Management of both inbound and outbound shipments for all third-party logistics warehouses through the Advanced Transportation module
- Generation of complex customer and market-specific pricing, excise taxes and discounts through the Advanced Pricing module
