EMC; an INC 5000 company; has grown by 249% over the past three years. As an extremely fast-growing company EMC needed a new ERP system that would scale with the business. EMC evaluated SAP and Oracle; and ultimately chose Oracle Cloud; and the Terillium team as their implementation partner.EMC’s trademarked project management approach maximizes customer results in each project phase; from initial planning through installation; bringing an immediate; positive impact on their customers’ bottom line. EMC needed a modern ERP system to match their innovative project management approach. EMC replaced disparate systems and manual excel processes with one end-to-end ERP system.Using Oracle Cloud software our customer can digitally: track leads and opportunities; easily turn leads into estimates/quotes; turn a quote into a project and contract; generate purchase orders based on projects and contracts; manage project budgets; recognize revenue based on projects and contracts.

Using ERP Cloud to Simplify the Setup of a Complex Tax Structure: A Customer Case Study

Chuck Bequeaith, Principal Consultant
12:45 PM–1:45 PM Apr 9, 2019

Using the Tax applications in Oracle ERP Cloud; we recently setup a complex Sales and Use tax structure for one of our Oracle ERP Cloud Customers. The customer is a lighting solutions provider that supplies and contracts out material and labor for projects in every state across the US. This makes for a very complex tax structure as each line on an invoice is taxed depending on multiple aspects of the transaction. Our customer needed each individual invoice line on the purchasing and sales side to be automatically taxed (or not taxed) at the correct rate.In order to do this; we setup a multi-nested tax matrix in the Oracle ERP Cloud that calculates the tax rate at the invoice line level depending on the type of item; project; transaction category; and ship-to location. In this presentation; I will cover how we delivered this solution through Oracle ERP Cloud.

Improved Production Scheduling for a Dynamic Shop Floor

Adam Farris, Senior Distribution Consultant / Staff Development Lead
8:00 AM–9:00 AM Apr 10, 2019

Atlas Pacific Engineering Company (APEC) creates complex machinery to handle their customer’s food processing needs. These bespoke machines require careful production planning to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. The APEC production planning department also needs to be able to adjust quickly when a customer requires an urgent repair or replacement machine. To accomplish this; resources at APEC and Terillium have developed a custom production scheduling workbench to efficiently manage the high volume of planned work orders that exist on the shop floor at any given moment or will soon start production. Using this application; planners can quickly analyze upcoming work orders to see component availability; work center load; and scheduled production dates. From there; the planner can adjust the work order as they see fit using a number of built-in tools to best optimize scheduling and workload on the floor.
