If you’re focusing on an upgrade in 2024, then this also means you’re moving JDE entirely to a 64-bit ERP. You’re not alone – over 13% of the JDE community surveyed said 64-bit processing is their top priority for the year.

Customers using tools release 9.2.5.x and earlier probably have a 32-bit JD Edwards setup and must upgrade to access the latest tools (9.2.6.x and above). • Decrease in average C Business Function (BSFN) response time in the 64-bit version of EnterpriseOne.
• Increase in Enterprise Server memory consumption when moving from 32-bit EnterpriseOne to the 64-bit version.
• The IBM I on Power Systems platform is not discernibly impacted by 64-bit EnterpriseOne processing because this operating system is natively 128-bit.
• Package builds run longer in an EnterpriseOne install which maintains both 32-bit and 64-bit Business Functions.
