Conifer Holdings, Inc., an insurance holding company, offers insurance coverage in specialty commercial and specialty personal product lines. It underwrites property, general liability, commercial multi-peril, and liquor liability policies.
The executive team at Conifer made the decision to move to Oracle Cloud for many reasons. The fact that Conifer is a public company, and required to meet certain control requirements that were too cumbersome to execute in the insurance company’s old system, was one driving factor.
The legacy system was not able to produce managerial reports that Conifer needed to make important business decisions. Conifer also wanted a modern financial system to help the company gain certain efficiencies – such as the ability to have multiple companies in a journal, intercompany accounting, and consolidation reporting within the system.
Throughout the course of the project, Terillium worked with the Conifer team to:
- Identify the company’s business requirements for the system
- Configure the system to meet those business needs
- Test the system before go live
- Conduct user training
- Develop reports as well as necessary external-facing documents
Throughout the project Terillium and Conifer built a partnership that enabled the entire team to work well together. The go live was delivered on-time, and the project was delivered within budget. Through the process Conifer gained new business benefits, including modern accounting capabilities, internal auditing controls, and faster financial reporting.
