The Client
Henny Penny is a privately held, family-owned company that continues 50-years of innovation that began in Eaton, Ohio with the first commercial pressure fryer in 1957. Henny Penny’s vision for their ERP system was modeled after their products – one that is easy to operate, provides greater flexibility and lowers operating costs by:
- Upgrading to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne version 9.1 to continue as a longtime Oracle JD Edwards customer current on support

The Challenge
Henny Penny’s products and complete start-up, service, training and technical support, are all available through their exclusive worldwide distributor network. Delivering a strategic plan to move to the latest release of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne while supporting future growth of that network was a crucial part of the journey and included:
- Providing a roadmap to and beyond an upgrade, including improvements to Advance Pricing, Inventory Management and Transportation Management after completion of the initial upgrade project
- Positioning the team for future benefits with an upcoming costing project
- Decreasing server space and moving to an open platform
- Decreasing IT maintenance by eliminating multiple platforms and databases
Our Solution
Henny Penny’s successful implementation resulted in the delivery of a platform to facilitate future business growth and was recognized by Oracle as the “Customer Success Story of the Year.” Henny Penny is now benefiting from:
