An Inside Look at BLUEPRINT 4D with Quest
BLUEPRINT 4D is coming up fast and we imagine you have some questions surrounding the event. We spoke with Jon Vaughn, Chief Executive Officer at Quest Oracle Community, for some behind-the-scenes information on BLUEPRINT 4D.
Is BLUEPRINT 4D a replacement for the COLLABORATE event?
BLUEPRINT 4D is so much more than just a replacement for COLLABORATE…it is a merging of many of the best attributes of Quest’s offerings from COLLABORATE, our product focused events and our on-line events that we have learned from over the past two years. As many people are aware, COLLABORATE has been discontinued following the dissolution of the user group partnership that supported the event. BLUEPRINT 4D includes a robust agenda and programming identical to that offered in the Quest and IOUG Forums at COLLABORATE for the JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Cloud apps and Database & Technology communities. In addition, BLUEPRINT 4D offers the deep-dive practical hands-on learning sessions familiar to attendees of JD Edwards INFOCUS and PeopleSoft RECONNECT.
BLUEPRINT 4D offers a hybrid event format (in person and online) designed to encourage participation and engagement with customers around the globe.
In person attendees will enjoy a fully immersive event experience that includes a robust program of 100+ JD Edwards sessions, networking activities and a full vendor showfloor that allows participants to connect with hundreds of other JD Edwards users, product experts and solutions providers.
For those unable to join the Quest community in person, the virtual program provides easy access to a curated package of key sessions, including Oracle presentations and a highlighted selection of must-attend sessions for practical learning and insights. Attendees can build their agenda from a mix of live and pre-recorded digital sessions and customize their program to fit their personal schedule – anytime, anyplace!
How does BLUEPRINT 4D compare to the JD Edwards INFOCUS events?
In 2020 and 2021, as you may recall, the JD Edwards INFOCUS event was expanded to include a virtual spring and fall conference series that included roadmap updates, new release overviews, live feature demonstrations and tons of functional deep-dive education. The series continues in 2022 as the JD Edwards community gathers in person (and online) at the BLUEPRINT 4D JD Edwards Forum in June for their spring agenda and program, followed by the digital INFOCUS event in the fall for even more practical hands-on learning and knowledge exchange. You can think of BLUEPRINT 4D as your best opportunity to gather face-to-face with the JD Edwards community in 2022.

What can attendees look forward to?
We have successfully facilitated content and connections over the past two years using the technology available to us. However, I can’t wait to come together once again, face-to-face, with the JD Edwards community. This will allow all of our community members to connect with their teams and with one another in much deeper and meaningful ways. Obviously, we have great content and networking opportunities planned, but we will also have a focus on helping our attendees have a memorable experience…to have some fun while learning and growing with one another. We’ve heard from so many people that this is what they’re most looking forward to with Quest in 2022.
BLUEPRINT 4D attendees can expect to walk away with fresh insight, new skills and new connections. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with JD Edwards users around the globe as well as the Oracle Product Teams and business partners to get the latest on Release 22, Orchestrations, Process Automation, Journey to the cloud and much more – plus experience live demos and plenty of customer Q&A.
What’s new?
BLUEPRINT 4D will offer over 250 practical digital learning sessions (including 100+ JDE sessions), roadmap updates, How-to sessions, Hot topic Q&A and more. You’ll find more ask me anything/question and answer style sessions and lots of networking opportunities ranging from the Executive Forum and other workshops to speed networking and Coffee & Connects. We’re also excited to be bringing back the Women in Technology luncheon – a popular lunch and learn networking opportunity many are probably familiar with from past COLLABORATE events.
In an effort to encourage participation from JD Edwards customers from around the world, BLUEPRINT 4D is a hybrid event. This means that if you can’t make it to Vegas, you can attend virtually and get access to curated package of key sessions, including Oracle presentations and a highlighted selection of must-attend sessions for practical learning.
What’s a can’t miss?
The session line up and the networking opportunities are going to be incredible with Oracle on tap to deliver 100+ total sessions across all four product forums. We’ve worked extremely hard to identify hot topics for each community that Oracle users want to know more about and share ideas from one customer to another.
And last, but certainly not least, a can’t miss is always the Exhibitor Showcase. Quest does a lot of the leg work for its members by identifying and connecting complementary third-party solutions providers to customers. We do the research to find and bring together vendors and partners relevant to the Quest Oracle communities in one convenient location. These solutions providers are a tremendous resource – if customers are not using this opportunity to pick the brains of our partner community, then they’re missing a critical resource that contributes greatly to the collective knowledge of the community. Our exhibitors always do a great job providing resources and subject matter experts, and delivering demos to help the customer community be successful with their Oracle investments.
Early bird deadline is March 29th. I look forward to reconnecting with everyone in Las Vegas June 6th!
