EMC ‘Turns On’ a Digital Business with Oracle Fusion Cloud
Energy Management Collaborative (EMC), a provider of innovative lighting solutions in the Americas, chose Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud to digitally transform the company’s project management processes.
The Client
EMC is a projects-based business that is transforming the way major retail chains, industrial corporations, healthcare providers, and government entities handle their lighting needs. Overall, through projects with many organizations in North and South America, EMC has saved nearly three billion kilowatt-hours of energy. EMC, an INC 5000 company, has grown by 249% over the past three years. As an extremely fast-growing company EMC needed a new ERP system that would scale with the business. EMC evaluated SAP and Oracle, and ultimately chose Oracle Fusion Cloud, and the Terillium team as their implementation partner.
The Challenge
EMC needed to eliminate manual processes and disparate systems, and move to a modern ERP system to match their innovative project management approach. The Terillium team helped EMC configure, test, and implement Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud.
Terillium also designed an extended application within Oracle Sales Cloud to meet the specific business and industry needs for EMC. EMC needed a better estimating and bidding tool. Rather than use a third-party solution, Terillium enabled EMC to fully manage their project life cycle within one system by extending Sales Cloud and creating an application for estimating and bidding within Sales Cloud.
The Solution
Terillium helped EMC go live on Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud and delivered an end-to-end project management system that will scale with EMC’s extremely fast-growing company.
Using Oracle Fusion Cloud software EMC can now digitally: track leads and opportunities, easily turn leads into estimates/quotes, turn a quote into a project and contract, generate purchase orders based on projects and contracts, manage project budgets, recognize revenue based on projects and contracts, track schedules, generate reports, create invoices and track billing, close-out projects once completed.
The end result: EMC now has a modern cloud solution and one source of truth, with all business information in one system.
