The Client
Batesville is the leading manufacturer of high quality burial caskets in North America, and provides a full spectrum of cremation products, innovative technologies and business solutions to licensed funeral homes. A long-time JD Edwards customer, Batesville leverages JDE for every part of its business. The company needed to upgrade to EnterpriseOne 9.2, with required customizations and integrations to streamline its processes and deliver an enhanced user experience. Batesville’s internal goal for the project was to flawlessly upgrade JDE to version 9.2 with minimal disruption to the business.
The Challenge
Batesville needed: better visibility into the company’s data, the ability to remain on a supported platform, improvements to infrastructure, an enhanced and modern user experience, and more. Terillium provided the necessary tools to evaluate current processes and offered recommendations for the E1 upgrade.
During the project the team was able to utilize E1 pages to help streamline business processes, implement advanced queries for better, easier access to information, use UPK to help document processes and support training needs, and reduce base code modifications.
The Solution
The JDE upgrade was completed on time and within budget, with no disruptions to Batesville’s operations. The end result is a more modern environment with the advanced capabilities and flexibility that will allow Batesville to manage its business more effectively.
Major integrations include: DSI, Oracle Sales Cloud, Ortec Delivery Routing, Mobile Applications, Archivist, Oracle Hyperion Planning, ERP2WEB, XRS Telematics, Transform, Kronos and Vertex.
