The Client
MacLean-Fogg Company is mainly comprised of its two primary businesses, MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions and MacLean Power Systems. MacLean-Fogg Company needed to replace aging, disjointed legacy ERP systems across its network of companies. The company’s existing IT environment consisted of five separate ERP systems across many plant locations. As a result, MacLean-Fogg needed the following solutions:
- A new business process
- A standard business system across MFCS businesses
- Increased business system availability
- Standardized business data
The Challenge
The MacLean-Fogg project is ongoing and includes implementing JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 at each of the company’s facilities. Terillium was contracted to:
- Help MacLean-Fogg implement JDE EnterpriseOne 9.2 across its entire network – 18 locations are live
- Replace IREN Accounts Payable system with JDE Accounts Payable and General Accounting functionality
- Implement requisitions for corporate IT purchasing
- Help combine data from multiple legacy ERP systems
Specific challenges on this project included:
- Multiple project managers
- The task of combining data from multiple legacy ERP systems
Our Solution
While the project began with implementing JDE EnterpriseOne 9.1, the 9.2 version was released. Terillium upgraded the locations that were already moved to 9.1 and continued implementations directly to 9.2. Terillium’s experience and industry knowledge was used to integrate with EDI Value Added Network. Because EDI transactions are used extensively in automotive business this will help MacLean-Fogg satisfy key metrics of Quality and On-Time Delivery (OTD). Now, MacLean-Fogg has two distinct industries on one instance of JD Edwards.
