NetSuite 2026.2 Release: Top New Features

NetSuite 2026.2 Release Notes Overview

The NetSuite 2026.2 release introduces another significant round of enhancements designed to help organizations work more efficiently, automate routine tasks, and gain deeper business insights with AI.

This release expands Oracle’s AI capabilities across finance, manufacturing, inventory management, analytics, customer experience, and system administration while also delivering usability improvements that simplify everyday work.

It also coincides with the rollout of NetSuite Next and Ask Oracle, Oracle’s conversational AI experience that becomes available to eligible customers after their accounts are upgraded to the NetSuite 2026.2 release.

If you’re preparing for your next NetSuite upgrade, here’s a look at the biggest enhancements included in the NetSuite 2026.2 release notes and what they could mean for your organization.

AI Is Embedded Throughout NetSuite 2026.2 Release

AI is the defining theme of the NetSuite 2026.2 release. Oracle continues to embed AI directly into the workflows users rely on every day.

Some of the biggest AI enhancements include:

  • CFO Insights reports with AI-generated summaries to quickly identify trends in labor costs and revenue performance.
  • NetSuite CPQ AI Assistant, which helps sales teams configure complex products using natural language prompts.
  • AI Descriptions for custom records, fields, and transactions that improve metadata quality and help NetSuite’s AI better understand customizations.
  • Oracle introduced Advanced Record Customization (ARC), allowing administrators to review, manage, and override AI descriptions from a centralized location to improve how AI understands customized NetSuite environments.
  • Smarter automation across finance and operations, including AI-assisted bank reconciliation and intelligent recommendations that reduce manual work.

Finance and Accounting Enhancements

Smarter Bank Reconciliation

NetSuite 2026.2 release introduces a more intelligent bank reconciliation experience that reduces manual work while improving visibility into the reconciliation process.

Highlights include:

  • AI-assisted transaction match suggestions
  • Suggested payment creation for open invoices and payables
  • Automatic submission of matched transactions
  • Expanded audit trails showing who matched and reconciled transactions
  • Improved reconciliation screens with enhanced filtering and transaction details

These enhancements help finance teams spend less time matching transactions manually while providing greater transparency for auditors and accounting staff.

CFO Insights Reports

Executives also gain two new reports designed specifically for financial analysis:

  • Labor Costs Report
  • Labor Costs and Revenue Insights Report

These reports provide better visibility into labor expenses across subsidiaries, departments, and locations while supporting AI-generated summaries that help finance leaders quickly understand trends without manually reviewing large datasets.

Additional Finance Improvements

Additional accounting enhancements in the NetSuite 2026.2 release include automated payment adjustments for bank fees and underpayments, reducing manual journal entries, along with continued enhancements to close management capabilities that help finance teams streamline period-end processes.

Inventory, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Enhancements

Inventory Optimization

One of the largest additions is the new Inventory Optimization capability for reorder point planning.

Using demand patterns, lead times, and service-level targets, NetSuite can optimize inventory planning parameters while introducing:

  • ABC/123 inventory segmentation
  • Automated reorder point optimization
  • Optimized safety stock levels
  • Exception management for shortages and overstocks

These capabilities help organizations maintain inventory levels more accurately while reducing carrying costs and minimizing stockouts.

Rough-Cut Capacity Planning

Manufacturers also gain Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), allowing planners to compare required labor and machine capacity against available work center capacity before scheduling production.

This provides a clearer picture of resource utilization, helping manufacturers identify bottlenecks, balance workloads, and improve production planning before problems impact delivery schedules.

Additional Manufacturing Improvements

Other noteworthy updates include:

  • New Pegging Analysis workbooks for Supply Planning
  • Initial average cost support for inventory items
  • Bulk manufacturing cost updates
  • Better handling of zero-quantity manufacturing components
  • Improvements for vendor consigned inventory

These enhancements from the NetSuite 2026.2 release give manufacturers more accurate planning data while simplifying day-to-day production management.

Sales, Pricing and Customer Experience Enhancements

NetSuite CPQ AI Assistant

Using generative AI, the NetSuite CPQ AI Assistant helps sales representatives configure products through natural language conversations instead of manually navigating configuration rules. This makes configuring even highly customized products faster and easier while reducing errors during the quoting process.

Administrators can also prepare product records for the AI Assistant by reviewing AI descriptions and configuration readiness, helping ensure more accurate recommendations during the quoting process.

Advanced Pricing Enhancements

Oracle also expanded Advanced Pricing with:

  • Better pricing visibility on sales orders
  • Dynamic item collections
  • Price level views
  • Sales by Price Rule analytics
  • Bulk pricing imports through CSV

These improvements help to better manage pricing strategies while giving sales teams greater transparency into how final prices are calculated.

Analytics and Reporting Improvements

Organizations looking to make more data-driven decisions will find several enhancements in the NetSuite 2026.2 release notes.

Notable updates include:

  • Export saved searches, reports, and lists directly to Excel (.xlsx)
  • Transfer Saved Searches into NetSuite Analytics Warehouse
  • Import Salesforce data into Analytics Warehouse
  • Expanded reporting capabilities across business functions
  • AI-generated summaries in select executive reports

These enhancements make it easier to combine operational and customer data while reducing manual reporting work.

Security and User Experience Improvements

Passwordless Authentication

In the NetSuite 2026.2 release, users can now set up passwordless authentication using passkeys for logging into NetSuite. Passkeys can also serve as a second authentication factor for supported devices, helping to strengthen identity protection while simplifying the login experience.

Preparing for Future Authentication Changes

Oracle also announced upcoming authentication changes, including the eventual retirement of NLAuth and Token-Based Authentication for new integrations. Organizations relying on custom integrations should begin planning their migration to OAuth 2.0 ahead of future release deadlines.

Additional Usability Enhancements

Other usability improvements include:

  • Start order fulfillment directly from sales order lists
  • Export reports to modern Excel formats
  • Better reconciliation interfaces
  • Expanded CSV import capabilities
  • Improved workflow navigation across several modules

While these enhancements may seem small individually, they collectively reduce clicks and improve the overall user experience.

NetSuite Next Is Coming

What is NetSuite Next?

NetSuite Next is Oracle’s next-generation NetSuite experience, designed to make AI a seamless part of everyday ERP workflows. It introduces a modernized user interface along with Ask Oracle, Oracle’s conversational AI assistant.

What is Ask Oracle?

Ask Oracle enables users to interact with NetSuite using natural language. Instead of navigating dashboards or building saved searches, users can ask questions such as:

• Which customers have overdue invoices?
• Show me this month’s top-performing products.
• Why did inventory costs increase this month?

Ask Oracle can analyze business data, answer questions in natural language, surface insights, recommend actions, and help users complete tasks more efficiently within NetSuite.

How do you get NetSuite Next?

NetSuite Next is being rolled out in phases and is not automatically enabled when your account upgrades to the NetSuite 2026.2 release.

To access NetSuite Next:

• Upgrade your account to NetSuite 2026.2.
• Wait for Oracle to notify your account that NetSuite Next is available.
• Your NetSuite administrator can then request access to enable the new experience.

This phased rollout allows organizations to test workflows, prepare users, and adopt new AI capabilities at their own pace.

NetSuite 2026.2 release will be rolling out in phases between August and October 2026. Customers can check their specific upgrade date in the New Release Portlet on their NetSuite dashboard.
