Implementing full functionality of the Transportation module is a big undertaking, requiring significant configuration effort, and that scares people off. This session aims to demonstrate how minimal configuration allows the basic functionality to be leveraged to streamline the sales order pick/pack/ship process, and provide the benefits that go with truly managing shipments instead of sales orders. The session will provide an overview of the basic configuration required to be able to leverage key features of the Transportation Management module and show how straightforward it really is. We’ll hit on Shipment Consolidation, Shipping/Delivery Documents, Capturing Appointment Times, Billable/Payable charge automation with Freight Update, and how we can keep stock and non-stock line status in synch.

The journey has begun toward Enterprise Automation. For the past several quarters the JD Edwards product development team has been releasing enhancements toward the vision of unlocking the value—the digital gold—within your JD Edwards data. In this session we will review these recently released enhancements, and more yet to come on the roadmap.

The Oracle JD Edwards product team first presented this well-received session at INFOCUS 2017, and it’s high time for Part Deux. With all the rich functionality added to Orchestrator quarter-by-quarter, it is impossible to keep up with it all, and there remain some ‘hidden gems’—features that have been in the product for ages, yet remain undiscovered or underutilized. Attend this session to rediscover some of the often overlooked, but powerful features in Orchestrator. We hope you leave saying, ‘I didn’t know Orchestrator could do THAT.’

Finance users should know about Advanced Pricing as well as our friends in Distribution! There is basic functionality available in Advanced Pricing that can alleviate downstream challenges in AR, AP and reporting processes, and Advanced Preferences give us the flexibility to maintain excellent Distribution processes while also accommodating the needs of the Finance team. This session will showcase some real world solutions used to make sales order and purchase order processing meet business needs in Finance.

Suffering from a labeling and packaging bottleneck at one of their largest facilities, MacLean-Fogg turns to Orchestrations to eliminate technological debt, and improve efficiency on their aging equipment. Eliminating the bottleneck and more than doubling the throughput on their packaging line from 500 cartons per shift to over 1200. All while improving the quality of life of the end users tasked with running the machine on a daily basis.

See how the team at MacLean-Fogg used orchestrations along with a custom application to identify customer orders not packaged and labeled, and getting them sent to the packaging line to be packed, labeled and production reported. All the while eliminating extra systems, steps, and processes for the end users.
