JD Edwards Product Update and Roadmap Keynote – Release 23 and Beyond

With the announcement of Release 23, the Oracle JD Edwards product team walked attendees through a three-pronged approach to their future product strategy and commitment to delivering cumulative value. To ensure your transformation initiatives are met successfully, catching the next wave of innovation around building intelligence is key.

Intelligence from Enterprise Automation – identify and eliminate bottlenecks

Making the most of the data from your EnterpriseOne system and utilizing Workflows, Orchestrations, Notifications, and Extensibility as a catalyst for automation will help eliminate friction within your business processes. To better measure various cycles and analyze that data, JD Edwards is excited to really invest and build out this area to help facilitate:

  • Full cycle automation platform to discover, analyze and implement business process improvement
  • Streamline business processes by eliminating inefficiencies and blind spots

Intelligence from the Cloud – provides better insights and predictions

A key component of Intelligence in the Cloud is the analytics. Within JD Edwards, there’s been a history of providing operational analytics integrations in BI. A lot of that has been backwards looking, but Oracle is now looking beyond today and into the future. To be able to maintain that foresight, utilizing cloud as an ally and incorporating it into your long game planning strategy will better leverage your data.

Release 22 and Release 23 has been the start to utilizing machine learning with aggregations to be able to get data easily out of EnterpriseOne. These are building blocks for JD Edwards to have better analytics, which will go beyond Enterprise Automation. To support your ability to identify and eliminate bottlenecks as well as improve existing processes that tie into other systems you have, Oracle is working on:

  • Cloud applications and services with embedded Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Providing end users real-time insights, predictions, and recommendations

Intelligence from Autonomous Systems – helps end traditional patching cycle and empowers IT staff

JD Edwards continues to leverage Oracle’s investment in Autonomous. From Autonomous database to Web Logics, they’re taking those paradigms and putting them into EnterpriseOne and leveraging those investments to have a completely Autonomous System. To optimize JD Edwards to work in harmony with cloud apps and better leverage your data, Oracle is helping lower the cost of ownership through:

  • Self-managing systems and ending the cycle of monito, patch, deploy and tune
  • Proactive discover and repair to eliminate human error and free up IT staff
